As a culmination of their Lower Elementary biology studies, the third year students spent most of Tuesday exploring MDS’ wetlands. They collected water and botany samples, compared the flora of different parts of the property, and discussed the body functions of flowering plants. It was a fun day for all of us!
Our primary students planted sunflower seeds, grape tomatoes, cucumbers, and marigolds a few weeks ago. They love to care for them and watch them as they grow!

Last week several members of the Coast Guard band came to perform for our students. They played a few songs for each classroom and taught the children about musical notes and melody. Our children were enthralled with the musicians and their instruments!
