You are embarking on a wonderful, yet challenging
process: finding the right program for your child and your family. Since
Montessori Discovery School (MDS) was founded in 1974, we have welcomed
many children and helped many parents choose what program is best for
their child.
This is a place where children share responsibility for their own education by selecting their learning activities from within a structured framework. They help to create a caring classroom community where all are valued and respected. The children also share in caring for their environment: feeding classroom animals, cleaning spills, and putting their work away. During their years here, children are guided by certified Montessori teachers and trained assistants, so they may truly develop to their greatest potential
As MDS children navigate the rest of their lives, their MDS education lays a strong foundation that serves them well and helps them develop as individuals. With the love of learning, curiosity, self reliance, self confidence and respect for others gained at MDS, children are ready to meet life head-on and enjoy doing so.
