Financial Assistance
Financial assistance at Montessori Discovery School is based on a family's ability to pay and determined by School and Student Services (SSS) and by Montessori Discovery School's Financial Assistance Committee. Grants are awarded based on SSS' calculated need, available funds and enrollment spaces. The maximum grant available is one half of the tuition for our educational programs. Financial assistance is not offered for Extended Hours or Summer programs. Applying for financial assistance does not necessarily result in receipt of a grant, although we do our best to help as many qualifying families as possible.
MDS awards approximately $60,000 in financial assistance each year to almost 30% of the student body.
To be eligible for consideration for financial assistance at Montessori Discovery School you must have an active enrollment application for your child to MDS and you must submit your completed financial assistance application to SSS and the school office. Applications received by April 2, 2012 will be given full consideration. Applications received after April 2, 2012 will be considered as funds are available. Financial Assistance applications include a completed IRS 1040 form.
